Spa and Sauna Co. History

The Spa and Sauna Co. has grown from a one shop location, originally in San Jose, California, to a business with six convenient showroom locations and several dedicated warehouses, serving Nevada and California.

The Roots at The Spa and Sauna Co. run deep. In fact, they go all the way back to the Early Days of the Portable Hot Tub Industry itself, with company co-owner Shelley Clark’s father, David Ingram. Back in 1976, in El Cajon, California, Ingram, one of the Pioneers of the Hot Tub business, started building one of the first Portable Spas. Since those early days in the Hot Tub business, we have taken pride in offering the Best Overall Customer Experience to our Hot Tub customers.

Shelley Ingram-Clark, David Ingram’s daughter, started with the family business in 1983. She has rolled fiberglass, worked in manufacturing, handled accounting and marketing, and later worked as a sales rep. She knows the hot tub industry inside and out.

Later, in 1999, the Ingram family sold Caldera Spas to one of the largest manufacturers of hot tubs today, Watkins Manufacturing, now known as Watkins Wellness. Watkins Wellness is The Spa and Sauna Company’s primary spa and swim spa manufacturer.

Scott Clark began working in the hot tub industry in the late 1980s, selling hot tubs at a Hot Spring Spa/Finnleo Sauna dealership in the Bay Area. In 1990, he opened his own store, in San Jose, called South Bay Spa and Sauna, marking the beginning of The Spa and Sauna Co. as it is known today.

Scott and Shelley met when Shelley visited his store as a sales rep. They married in 2000.

After a brief period working traveling spa shows, the family and business settled in the Reno area in 2002 and opened their first Reno area store together, The Spa and Sauna Shop.

Quick growth occurred between 2013 and the present, with new store locations opening every couple of years, initially in the Reno area, and later in different geographical regions serving California and Nevada.

  • Reno Hot Spring Spas – Reno (2013)
  • The Spa and Sauna Co. – S. Reno (2015)
  • The Spa and Sauna Co. – Sparks (2017)
  • The Spa and Sauna Co. – Santa Cruz (2019)
  • The Spa and Sauna Co. – San Jose (2019)
  • The Spa and Sauna Co. – Carson City (2021)
  • The Spa and Sauna Co. – Las Vegas (2023)

These days, even with many convenient store locations and several warehouses to operate, you’re just as likely to find Scott moving hot tubs or setting the showroom floor, as you are to find him talking to team members or planning for future endeavors. It’s easy to see his passion for all parts of the hot tub industry.

Scott and Shelley’s children are involved in the business, too. Nick Clark participates in the hot tub industry, while Joey Clark is now the Service Technician Supervisor in Reno. Jacob Clark works within the service department in the Reno stores as well, and Carlee Clark stops in from time to time, but is still attending school.

Teanna’s Open Heart Surgery

Tuesday, August 8th, 2023

Teanna Calloway is 21 and about to undergo her second open heart surgery, along with a pacemaker change. Without the pacemaker, Teanna’s heart wouldn’t be able to beat on its own.

Teanna has been a valued member of The Spa and Sauna Co. Team for nearly 2 years. She will be out of work for 13 weeks to recover from her surgery.

Teanna’s GoFundMe

The Spa and Sauna Co. is sponsoring a GoFundMe to help Teanna and her boyfriend, Michael, pay for their rent and medical expenses, while she can’t work. So far, the fund has already raised several thousand dollars to help Teanna.

You can read more about Teanna or contribute to her fundraiser here.

Teanna’s Health Journey

Teanna was born with Pulmonary Stenosis, a heart defect that affects the pulmonary valves within her heart. Those valves allow proper blood flow to go about the heart.

She has had several surgeries, aside from open heart surgery, over the years, involving heart catheters. These are routine surgery she gets every 4 years to prevent her pulmonary heart valves from closing.

She and her family will travel from Reno to Las Vegas to have the specialized doctor, who has cared for her throughout her entire life, perform the surgery.

During her last surgery, in 2020, her doctor discovered the leak in her heart.

How We Feel About Teanna

Team members at The Spa and Sauna Co. have been supportive of her journey.

Teanna works as a retail specialist and has worked at our Reno, Sparks and Carson City locations. Everyone enjoys working with her because she is so upbeat, helpful and friendly.

“She’s like another daughter to me – very special,” said Mark Petersen, a sales rep at The Spa and Sauna Co. who has worked closely with Teanna. “I just wish her all the best.”

Bob Piper, another sales rep, said “Prayers are with Teanna for a successful procedure and a smooth recovery.”

A Bit of History

The Spa and Sauna Company has roots going back to 1990 when Company Owner Scott Clark opened his first store, South Bay Spa and Sauna in San Jose. CA. After marrying Shelley Ingram-Clark in 2000, the company moved to Reno. NV in 2002 as The Spa and Sauna Shop.

But the hot tub story for the Ingram-Clark family goes back even further, to 1976, when Shelley’s father David Ingram, started building what has become one of the Leading Brands of Portable Spas manufactured today – Caldera Spas.

Fast track to 2013 and a second Reno store opened, Reno Hot Spring Spas and Billiards. In 2015, a third Reno store was added – The Spa and Sauna Co. or The Spa and Billiards Shop. In 2017, that original store location became a warehouse and The Spa and Sauna Shop moved to Sparks. In 2019, 2 stores in San Jose and Santa Cruz were acquired, Hot Spring Spas of Santa Cruz and San Jose. Those stores had a history in the community that dates back to 1976, even using the name Pacific Water Works for a time, before becoming Hot Spring Spas of Santa Cruz and San Jose.  In 2020, a store that had been closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic was relocated and allowed us to double the size of our Reno flagship location at 9748 S. Virginia St. In Reno. In 2021, The Spa and Sauna Co. – Carson City opened.

You can check out all the information about all of our stores hereAnd if you’re interested in the complete history of The Spa and Sauna Co. and all hot tubs, check out our blog here

Now with six stores in two states, and a variety of hot tub and swim spa brands to choose from, it became clear it was time to unify our branding and our message at all of our current, and all of our potential future, locations. Moving forward all of our locations will be The Spa and Sauna Co.

We also support local veterans, and since 2018 have donated 3 hot tubs to deserving local veterans in Reno and Sparks, in conjunction with a spa manufacturer and the charity Wish for Our Heroes. We are currently searching for our next recipients. Read more and even nominate a deserving veteran, or yourself, hereOur first recipient once told us this program seemed too good to be true, but it isn’t. We love giving back to our community and supporting our local community.

We recently checked in with our first 2 Hot Tub for Heroes recipients, Daniel Rogers of Reno and Kevin Vogt of Sparks. They were awarded hot tubs in 2018 and 2019.

Both said they are still enjoying their hot tubs after all these years, and enjoy working with a company that gives back to its community.

Speaking of the donation process, Kevin said “The process from start to finish was super easy. I mean, you guys set everything up. You came, you did all of it. Any questions I had, there’s always been someone there to answer it for me. New hot tub owner, myself, there’s a lot I didn’t know and every time I ran into something I couldn’t really troubleshoot myself, I’d call you guys and I’d get an answer immediately.”

The Spa and Sauna Company looks forward to making many more donations to local veterans.

Through these efforts, we’ve built long-term lasting relationships with people in our local communities, and we appreciate every single one of them.

Moving Forward

The Spa and Sauna Co. is more than the brands we sell, and even the products we sell. The Spa and Sauna Company is part of your lives – your enhanced lives, if you will. We can’t wait to help you Enhance Your Space, Enhance Your Home and Enhance Your Life. We’ve been proud to be a part of your lives since 1990 and are looking forward to a great future together!

The Spa and Sauna Co. Wins Two Sundance Awards

Thursday, February 11th, 2021

By Laura Varnon, Marketing Coordinator

The Spa and Sauna Company earned two awards in 2020 from Sundance Spas at their virtual dealer conference this year.

Despite the challenges that the year 2020 presented, The Spa and Sauna Company was awarded The Sundance Gold Club Award for Exceptional Sales Performance and the Exceptional Customer Service Award.

The Gold Club award recognizes dealers whose Sundance Spas sales volume ranked in the top 10% of dealers nationwide.

In a letter from 2 directors of sales at Sundance Spas, Bett Sitton and Paul Garratt wrote: “Your hard work and dedication to the Sundance Spas Brand has earned you special recognition…Congratulations on your success in 2020.”

In a year when The Spa and Sauna Company embraced selling hot tubs over FaceTime and other virtual apps, not having as many hot tubs to display, working with customers while socially distanced and wearing masks, and an increasing in demand for hot tubs, this award truly means a lot.

The Spa and Sauna Company has also earned both of these awards previously, too.

“We’d like to thank Sundance Spas for these awards and their support this year, and we look forward to what 2021 will bring,” said Company Owner Scott Clark. “We’d also like to extend a big thank you to our entire team, especially our sales and customer service teams.”

To read more about The Spa and Sauna Company and see our full list of awards over the years, click here.

The Spa and Sauna Company began carrying Sundance Spas in late 2013 at its Reno area stores. It is one of several high-end hot tub brands that the Spa and Sauna Company is proud to offer.

Other hot tub manufacturers decided not to present awards in 2020, due to the unusual circumstances the year presented.

History of Hot Tubs and The Spa and Sauna Company

Thursday, July 30th, 2020

By Laura Varnon, Marketing Coordinator

That hot tub you are sitting in might have the latest and greatest in terms of technological advancements, but you might be shocked to find out that the use of hot water baths for hydrotherapy and relaxation dates back to ancient times. Turns out people have known for thousands of years that a hot soak had health and wellness benefits.

This blog will highlight some of the early history of hot tubs, but also focus on The Spa and Sauna Company, which is celebrating 30 years in business in 2020.

History of Hot Tubs Timeline - Early Societies

Ancient Times

Earliest Hot Tubs

The earliest hot tubs were held in calderas, which are large volcanic craters, hence the name of Caldera Spas, linked so closely to the owners of The Spa and Sauna Company (but we’ll get into that later). Those calderas, unlike the hot tubs of today, may have been warmed by hot stones in the water.

Ancient Egyptians

Some Egyptians bathed up to 4 times per day! Can you imagine? The wealthiest Egyptians had bathing rooms inside their homes and as early as 4000 years ago used the therapeutic qualities of hot water in baths, adding flowers and essential oils for aromatherapy. Not too bad in terms of ideas, as essential oils and aromatherapy are still an enjoyable experience for many hot tubers today. They just come packaged as Spazazz aromatherapy products now.

Ancient Greeks and Romans

Ancient Greeks believed water had the power to heal and built thermal complexes, with carved seats from rock. Ancient Romans developed intricate systems to move water from higher elevations to lower elevations and then warm the water and floors and walls of public bathhouses. Some of those baths stood the test of time and still exist today.

Modern Times

Ok, now that we’ve established that hot tubs are not a passing trend, let’s fast-forward a bit.

Native and Early Americans – 1700s

Native Americans in various parts of the United States from New York to Arkansas, embraced the healing powers of water. High Rock Spring in Saratoga, NY, was first used by Native Americans before colonists arrived. Later, Americans, including George Washington, were believed to have visited the area, known for its water healing powers.

Resort Spas – 1880 through 1940

In the late 1800s, spa resorts started popping up in Europe and the US. Many of these resorts were used to promote vitality and health.

Even President Franklin D. Roosevelt owned a spa resort that he visited yearly for decades. Roosevelt had been partially paralyzed at an early age, yet regained some of the use of his legs swimming at the springs. Hydrotherapy certainly isn’t a new concept.

Wooden and Concrete Hot Tubs – 1940 through 1960

Returning from Japan after WWII, American troops brought back the bathing culture used there to inspire the first wooden tubs in the US.

Wine barrels were initially used as hot tubs in the US.

Other people had recessed concrete spas installed next to their pools. By the late 1960s, in-ground spas featured the first jets. These concrete spas took weeks to install and were costly, which made them out of reach for the average American, unlike the hot tubs of today.

Fiberglass and Acrylic Spas – 1960 through 1970

Fiberglass spa shells, which made their debut in the late 1960s, were better at retaining water than wooden spas and easier to install and maintain than concrete spas. These spas were quickly replaced by acrylic.

In the mid-1970s, spa shell manufacturers pulled these acrylic shells out of the ground to create the first portable spa. As the decade progressed, more features – that we have come to expect in today’s hot tubs – were added, including more advanced filtration systems and jets. Easier installation made portable spas attractive to many more homeowners.

History of The Spa and Sauna Company - Hot Tubs Reno, Sparks, San Jose, Santa Cruz

Caldera Spas Beginnings – 1976 through 1980s

Here’s where the Ingram and Clark families begin to enter the story. We told you we’d get back here eventually.

In 1976, the founders of Caldera Spas, led by one of the Pioneer’s of the Hot Tub Industry, David Ingram, started building what has become one of the Leading Brands of Portable Spas manufactured today – Caldera Spas.

The hot tubs of the late 1970s and early 1980s were simpler than those of today, but these original hot tubs paved the way for the high-tech features we now take for granted.

Shelley Ingram Enters the Hot Tub Industry

Shelley Ingram-Clark, David Ingram’s daughter, started with the family business in 1983. She has rolled fiberglass, worked in manufacturing, handled accounting and marketing, and later worked as a sales rep. She knows the hot tub industry inside and out.

Later, in the 1999, the Ingram family sold Caldera Spas to one of the largest manufacturers of hot tubs today, Watkins Manufacturing, now known as Watkins Wellness. Watkins Wellness is The Spa and Sauna Company’s primary spa and swim spa manufacturer.

Scott Clark Enters the Hot Tub Industry

Scott Clark began working in the hot tub industry in the late 1980s, selling hot tubs at a Hot Spring Spa/Finnleo Sauna dealership in the Bay Area. In 1990, he opened his own store, in San Jose, called South Bay Spa and Sauna.

These days, even with 5 stores and 2 full warehouses to operate, you’re just as likely to find Scott moving hot tubs or setting the showroom floor, as you are to find him in talking to team members or planning for future endeavors. It’s easy to see his passion for all parts of the hot tub industry.

A Hot Tub Love Story – 1995 to Present

One day, while making sales calls for Caldera, Shelley stopped into Scott’s hot tub business in San Jose, which he had owned for 5 years by then.

Over the next few months, their relationship transitioned from a business relationship to a personal one.

They married in 2000 and have now been together for over 20 years.

After a brief period working traveling spa shows, the family and business settled in the Reno area in 2002 and opened their first Reno area store together, The Spa and Sauna Shop. At their first location on Louie Lane in Reno, the store featured Caldera Spas, Finnleo Saunas, and Brunswick and Olhausen Billiards. Today, that location is closed to the public and serves as a dedicated warehouse for the 3 Reno Showrooms. Now, The Spa and Sauna Shop is located in Sparks.

A Family Affair

Scott calls Father-in-Law David Ingram fairly frequently for business advice and conversation.

And co-owner Shelley is more involved with the business, now that their children are mostly grown.

Their children are involved too. Nick Clark helps out with the business in Santa Cruz, while Joey Clark is now the Lead Service Technician in Reno. Jacob Clark helps out in the Reno stores as well, and Carlee Clark stops in from time to time, but is still attending school.

Shelley’s brother, Jason Ingram, also owns a hot tub store in California, San Diego Hot Spring Spas.

“The Caldera Spas of Today, may not be My ‘Father’s’ Hot Tubs, but the foundation he built and the guidance he still gives to the Hot Tub Industry and Us as a Family, will live on for Future Generations,” Shelley said.

The Growth Years – 2013 – 2020 and beyond

The Spa and Sauna Company has grown from a 1 shop location, originally in San Jose, California, to a 5- showroom business, in 2 states, with 2 dedicated warehouses, serving Nevada and California. In 2019, with the addition of the San Jose location, the Clarks have really seen their business come full circle.

In 2013, Scott and Shelley opened Reno Hot Spring Spas, at 6815 Sierra Center Pkwy., across from Target, in Reno, which is dedicated exclusively to Hot Spring Spas and the value line Freeflow Spas.

In 2015, they opened their largest showroom in Reno, at 9748 S. Virginia St., next to WinCo, just 2 miles away from the Hot Spring Store. That location had formerly been a spa showroom, known as Sierra Nevada Spas and Billiards. The Spa and Sauna Company flagship showroom features Caldera Spas and Sundance Spas, as well as Endless Pools, Finnleo Saunas, Saber Grills and Big Green Egg BBQs. Serving as the company’s headquarters, it also includes a service department, concierge valet hot tub cleaning service department, delivery department, marketing department, customer service department, plus offices, and a warehouse.

In 2016, Caldera Spas celebrated its 40th anniversary.

In 2017, the original Spa and Sauna Shop on Louie Lane was converted to a warehouse and the new Spa and Sauna Shop opened in Sparks, on 250 E. Glendale Ave. in a better retail location on the corner of Glendale and McCarran.

In 2019, The Spa and Sauna Co. of Reno, became The Spa and Sauna Co., as it added two Hot Spring Spas showrooms in California to the family of stores – Hot Spring Spas of Santa Cruz and Hot Spring Spas of San Jose. After taking ownership of the business, most of the team members who had worked there for years remained part of the team.

Later in 2019, Hot Spring Spas of San Jose was relocated and renovated at its current address 2627 S. Bascom Ave. in Campbell.

In early 2020, the Santa Cruz Showroom, at 707 River St. in Santa Cruz, was renovated as well.

And now in 2020, The Spa and Sauna Company family of stores is celebrating its 30th Anniversary.

And it doesn’t seem like growth plans are slowing down.

Weathering the Storms

The business survived and thrived through the Great Recession of 2008, as people were still looking for backyard and in-home relaxation.

Facing 2020’s global pandemic, The Spa and Sauna Co. continued to thrive, as interest in backyard leisure increased dramatically. Adjustments were made for so team members could work from home or work safely in office, as we provide essential water care for sale in store and online.

Scott and Shelley, who have always embraced advances in technology, used that time to make more technological improvements to all of their stores, and adjust the buying process too.

The Spa and Sauna Company also transitioned its largely in-person sales process, so that customers could shop for and buy a hot tub without ever coming into the store, if desired. Hot tub supplies are also available from our Online Store, and adjustments were made for curbside pick-up options. We are here to help you shop in the way that is most comfortable for you, whether that is in person, online or virtually.

In Conclusion

Through the years, The Spa and Sauna Company has grown and evolved in many ways, from a company of just 2 people to nearly 50 people.

Over the years, The Spa and Sauna Company has won dozens of awards from its manufacturers, the local community in Reno and Santa Cruz, and small business associations. To see a list of all of the awards, click here. The Spa and Sauna Company has also been involved with community events, from local Duck Races and parades, to Toy Drives and Hot Tub Donations to Veterans.

“It’s been an amazing 30 years,” Scott said. “We’re honored to be a part of the hot tub industry. Hot Tubs truly are all about family and creating quality time and memories – especially in our case.”

The Spa and Sauna Company continues to offer the award-winning service that makes it so unique. We hope you have enjoyed learning a bit more about the history of hot tubs and the history of The Spa and Sauna Company.

There’s an awful lot to love about having a hot tub – especially when you’re spending more time at home than ever before.

Here’s how to staycation at home with an amazing hot tub, and three of the benefits to expect from a quiet dip.

Ease Stress and Calm the Mind
With everyone home, the hectic schedules only seems to multiply, making it challenging to get a good night’s sleep. But with a hot tub at home, it’s easy to feel calm for a deep, restful sleep. About an hour before retiring, taking a quiet soak to allow the mind to make the transition from feeling stressed, to calm.

Soothe Muscles and Joint Pain
Deep relaxation is almost impossible in the presence of pain. Luckily, a dip in the hot tub can decrease pain. As heat, buoyancy, and massage work together, they target even the most nagging pain where it generates. Almost instantly, elevated heat eliminates pain, while the water’s buoyancy supports and cushions injured, sore muscles and joints.

Create a Healthy Habit That Sticks
When used on a regular basis, a hot tub delivers substantial health benefits. With improved cardiovascular functioning, decreased stress, and easy pain management, getting a restful night’s sleep is far easier. A key part of a healthy lifestyle, soaking in a hot tub on a regular basis, is a smart way to look and feel you your best.

So Go Ahead, Take a Soak, You Deserve It!
It’s fast, fun and relaxing. Not only that, it’s good for the body, soothes the mind and can improve your overall health and well-being.

Hot Tubs and Family Time

Friday, March 6th, 2020

By Laura Varnon, Marketing Coordinator

Did you know that hot tubs are an investment in family time?

While we highly encourage all of our hot tubbers to use their hot tub every day for the health and wellness benefits, there’s another extra special benefit of hot tub time. Hot Tubs provide unplugged family time to reconnect and have meaningful conversations with your family.

It’s Time to Unplug

Have you ever noticed how sometimes you can all be at home, or even in the same room, but the children are watching TV or playing with a device, while the parents are staring intently at their phones? You’re in the same room together, but you aren’t really spending quality time with each other.

When you are in a hot tub, devices aren’t an option (simply because if they got wet, they would break). As a result, any time you get into the hot tub with your family, you have an opportunity to share an experience together and have conversations that may not have occurred otherwise.

Family Time

One of our hot tubbers told us how her family reconnects in the hot tub together at the same time, even though they all appreciate different aspects of hot tub time.

“The whole family loves it for different reasons. Kids love to splash and play, husband loves to relax and I love the hydrotherapy,” said Rebecca B. of Reno, Spa and Sauna Daily Soaker.

Hot tub time is a memorable experience, meant for the entire family.

Other Wellness Benefits of Hot Tub Time

Here at The Spa and Sauna Company family of stores, we truly embrace the Wellness aspects that hot tubs bring to people’s lives. In fact, we recently won an award for Wellness from our hot tub manufacturers, related to our initiatives that embrace hot tubs and wellness.

Other benefits of soaking in hot water include:

Improved sleep
Stress relief
Pain relief
And more.

So next time you are hoping to gather your family together and reconnect, consider putting all of those devices away, getting in the hot tub together, and making some memories. You’ll be glad you did.

How Long Does It Take to Buy a Hot Tub?

Thursday, January 9th, 2020

By Laura Varnon, Marketing Coordinator

How long does it take to buy a hot tub? Well, the answer really depends on a number of factors, including your shopping preferences, your confidence or familiarity with the hot tub brand, and your trust in the hot tub company.

Rest assured, when you purchase from The Spa and Sauna Company family of stores in Nevada and California, you are buying from your local hot tub experts, who have been selling quality hot tubs and  serving their local communities for decades.

Some customers can come into our showroom, pick out and purchase a hot tub in an hour, while others need more time to make that decision, sometimes months.

At The Spa and Sauna Company’s family of stores, we have had many repeat and referral hot tub customers over the years. We’ve even had customers come in and order the exact same hot tub years later because they enjoyed it so much, but were ready to upgrade to the latest features.

Below we will explore some factors that will determine how long it will take YOU to buy a hot tub.

Research – Research a little or research a lot, depending on your own preferences

Research could take as short or as long as you like, depending on your preferences. Some people spend hours and hours researching online before making a purchase. Others are very comfortable choosing from the well-known hot tub brands that we offer almost immediately, because they are familiar with them or have even owned them before.

Whatever your personal research preferences are, we are here, in part, to educate you about hot tubs and any other products we carry. We encourage our shoppers to be educated and are happy to provide those resources to you.

You can learn about some of our most commonly asked questions in our Learning Center here, or in our Blog section here.  We also have an Owner’s Corner to assist after your purchase, that you can look at here.

Want some information about how to buy a hot tub? Check out our Buyer’s Guide here.

Looking to narrow down your choices with a quick quiz? Take our Perfect Hot Tub Quiz here.

We are also happy to help you learn more about hot tubs, either in our showrooms, over the phone, by email, or by web chat. Feel free to contact us however you are most comfortable.

Quality of the Hot Tub Brand – We offer the best in hot tubs and have been selling them for decades

We have been selling only the best in hot tub brands for decades now. At all of our showrooms, we specialize in Hot Spring Spas, which offers 3 distinct product lines. To learn more about Hot Spring Spas, click here. We also carry Freeflow Spas, a value line of hot tubs, with an entry-level purchase point, at all of our showrooms. To learn about Freeflow, click here.

We know how quality hot tubs work and what their best features are. Our team of hot tub experts is  happy to help you select the best hot tub for you, based on how often you plan to use the hot tub, how many people you need to accommodate, your budget, and your preferences for water care.

Additionally, in our Nevada locations, we carry Caldera Spas, which is made by the same manufacturer as Hot Spring Spas, and Sundance Spas, by Jacuzzi Brand.

Local Experience – Decades of Local Experience Selling and Servicing and Maintaining Hot Tubs

When you buy from an established hot tub dealer with a long history in their communities, like The Spa and Sauna Company’s family of stores, you can feel confident that the company will be there to take care of you long after your initial hot tub purchase.

When deciding on your hot tub company, make sure to read reviews of the company, either on review boards or their website. Feel free to check out our reviews here.

Ask about how long they have served their community. The Spa and Sauna Company has been in the Reno/Sparks area since 1990 and our Bay Area stores, Hot Spring Spas of Santa Cruz and San Jose, have been serving their communities since 1976.

Ask about warranties. All of our hot tubs come with warranties. Higher series brands come with longer warranties than entry level hot tubs. Any hot tub you purchase should come with a warranty.

Ask about local service. We provide local service on all products we sell. Our technicians are factory trained. We also provide concierge hot tub cleaning services.

In summary, only you can determine exactly how long it will take you to buy a hot tub, but we feel that our length of service, the quality brands we offer and our experience and resources, can make you feel more comfortable with making a buying decision, when you are ready. We look forward to working with you!
