This year has been a year of new beginning for The Spa and Sauna Company – new showrooms, showroom relocations, new showroom events and community donations! Here are some highlights from 2019.

1. We’ve Grown – The Spa and Sauna Co. now has locations in Nevada and California

Our biggest news of the year happened in the very beginning of 2019. In January 2019, The Spa and Sauna Company purchased Hot Spring Spas of Santa Cruz and Hot Spring Spas of San Jose.

“We are so glad to bring Hot Spring Spas of Santa Cruz and San Jose into The Spa and Sauna Co. family,” said company owner Scott Clark. “When I first started selling hot tubs, over 30 years ago, I was working in the Greater Bay Area and we started our business in San Jose, in 1990, so this has really come full circle.”

A year later, some things have changed, like our street address of our San Jose store, but our commitment to bringing you the best hot tub and swim spa brands and giving you the best hot tub ownership experience remains the same.

2. Hot Tubs, Swim Spas, Sauna Dealer San Jose Celebrates New Location Grand Opening

In July 2019, Hot Spring Spas of San Jose moved to their new location, at 2627 S. Bascom Ave.

After decades of being at their previous address, the move has allowed for a more convenient location in town, at the Corner of Bascom and Union, and more space. 6500 square feet of it.

Displayed in our new space, are hot tubs, swim spas, and the new addition of Big Green Egg Barbecues. You can also find any water care you may need for your hot tub or swim spa needs.

3. Ask the Hot Tub Experts

This year, The Spa and Sauna Company had its first showroom events for existing customers. We hosted Ask the Hot Tub Experts Events in our showrooms in Reno and San Jose.

Ask the Experts Events featured individualized instruction on draining and cleaning hot tubs, time for individual questions, and special one-day only sales on water care items!

4. Sparks Veteran Awarded FREE Hot Tub

The Spa and Sauna Co., spa manufacturer Sundance Spas, and the charity Wish for Our Heroes teamed up in March 2019 to award a local veteran, Kevin Vogt of Sparks, a free Sundance spa as a small thank you for his military service.

He is the second local veteran to have received a free hot tub in less than 1 year from the 3 organizations. The Spa and Sauna Company is always pleased to be able to share the therapeutic value of hot tubs with the community and is especially happy to have the opportunity to give back to their local community.

Small Business Saturday is a “nationwide movement to celebrate small businesses every day and to help communities thrive and stay vibrant,” according to American Express, which founded the movement in 2010.

The Spa and Sauna Company has been based in the Reno/Sparks community since 1990, and earlier this year, we added to The Spa and Sauna Company family of stores, with Hot Spring Spas of Santa Cruz and San Jose. They have been a part of their respective communities since 1976!

How We Give Back to Our Communities

In addition to serving the wellness needs of our communities, The Spa and Sauna Company believes in giving back to the communities we serve. In Nevada, we have donated 2 hot tubs to Reno and Sparks veterans since 2018, with Sundance Spas and the Wish for Our Heroes program. The program provides veterans with therapeutic hot tubs to make their life better.

We also participate in the Reno Duck Races, which is sponsored by the Nevada Humane Society, and contribute to local schools.

In California, we contribute to Omega Nu, a Santa Cruz based volunteer group/charity, that helps the local community. You are likely to see our truck  escorting Quacky the Duck in December at the Santa Cruz Holiday Parade. We also participate in the Santa Cruz Duck Derby.

Also, we are a Toys for Tots drop off location at our Santa Cruz showroom. Toys for Tots is a program run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve which distributes toys to children in need. Feel free to drop off an unwrapped, new present at our Santa Cruz showroom now. We’ll make sure it gets to those who need it most.

We have also been voted community favorites in both our Reno and Santa Cruz locations.
